Matthew  grew  up  spending  his  summers  on  Fire  Island  at  his  grandparents  beach  house.  This  became  the  staple  which  shaped  Matthew  into  who  he  is  today.  The  sun,  sand,  and  surf  are  all  things  that  make  up  the  composition  of  his  photography,  especially  that  of  Fire  Island.  His  passion  for  the  craft  became  a  window  to  project  the  feeling  of  "summer  time  year  round."  His  images  allow  the  viewer  to  drift  away  to  warmer  days,  filled  with  salty  air  and  sunburnt  shoulders.

You  can  always  find  him  somewhere  between  the  sand  and  the  sea,  capturing  the  warmth  of  the  sun.  His  images  speak  for  themselves,  yet  allow  your  imagination  to  take  you  to  a  time  in  space  with  all  the  feels  of  summer.  Even  through  the  coldest  days  of  winter,  you  can  look  at  one  of  his  photographs  and  instantly  be  reminded  of  warmer  times.  It's  always  summer  if  you  ask  him.
